Ginger Ngo is a freelance graphic & web designer (not a failed artist)

For about 10 years, nobody really understood what I did for a living, but that's fine with me.

My dad still doesn't understand, but I think he still likes me.

I am a web & graphic designer based in Vancouver, BC. Most of my past work has been building and maintaining websites. It's been an invisible job, for the most part. However, this has also given me the opportunity to know some cool folks from all over this God forsaken planet. This description is currently being written in November 2020, so I invite you to appreciate the candor.

I work with clients to create bold and fun projects, often collaborating with people way smarter and way taller than me.

I'm not even that short, but I just end up hanging out with really tall people. And they all dress better than I do.

I have been an art director, a graphic designer, a web designer, a Wordpress developer, an illustrator, and a general pain in the ass for a few. I was once described as a "talented typographer" in my youth, but that promise quickly faded as the white hairs and wrinkles began to show.

On the flip side, I've also been called "a gift" and "brilliant" and "so smart!" by various people, and I think I will hold on to those compliments for as long as I can.

These days, I work with select clients with whom I have years of trust and collaboration thoughtfully nestled into the creases of my aforementioned wrinkles.
